Renewable UK Board Election - 10 May 2010

The RenewableUK board election is taking place this month, and ballot papers have been issued to all members.  The deadline for receipt of votes is 20 May. Aquamarine Power's CEO Martin McAdam is looking for your vote....

"When I joined Aquamarine Power as CEO in 2008, I brought with me 10 years of experience in renewables. Previously, I founded Airtricity's US operations, managing the company's sale to E.On for £0.75bn in 2007.  After just a few short years, Aquamarine Power has grown to become one of the world's most successful wave development companies.

"I am passionate about the potential renewable energy offers - not only to de-carbonise our economy, but also to build a thriving new green industrial base in the UK.  In particular, I believe it is imperative that we raise the profile of marine energy with regulators, legislators and policymakers in order to highlight the positive contribution it can make to 2020 targets and beyond, and secure the policy and funding support required to enable the industry to meet the technology and development challenges it faces.  My view is that the one strong voice of RenewableUK offers members the best opportunity to influence the renewable energy debate.  It would be an honour to serve on the RenewableUK Board and I would be grateful for your vote."

Martin McAdam, Chief Executive Officer, Aquamarine Power
