"I am passionate about the potential renewable energy offers - not only to de-carbonise our economy, but also to build a thriving new green industrial base in the UK. In particular, I believe it is imperative that we raise the profile of marine energy with regulators, legislators and policymakers in order to highlight the positive contribution it can make to 2020 targets and beyond, and secure the policy and funding support required to enable the industry to meet the technology and development challenges it faces. My view is that the one strong voice of RenewableUK offers members the best opportunity to influence the renewable energy debate.
