i-design, which has developed and supplies a market leading ATM advertising solution ("atmAd"), enabling ATM network owners to run both third party advertising and their own internal marketing campaigns, is pleased to announce that, following a successful pilot, it has signed a major contract with Cardtronics, Inc ("Cardtronics"), the US-based ATM network operator, which manages approximately 33,700 ATMs globally.
The exclusive multi-year contract with Cardtronics is i-design's first agreement with a US-based ATM network operator and marks a significant step in i-design's objective to expand its presence outside the UK. Under the terms of the contract, i-design has secured exclusive rights to sell advertising space on behalf of Cardtronics and is deploying its unrivalled third party advertising solution, atmAd. The agreement covers approximately 3,000 ATMs, circa 2,200 of which are located at retail sites in the US, with the balance located in the UK and managed by Cardtronics' UK subsidiary, Bank Machine. The contract provides a revenue share agreement on all third party advertising secured for the ATMs.
i-design currently expects the majority of the ATMs to be available for third party advertising this Summer following the completion of the installation of atmAd. The contract takes i-design's estate of ATMs available for third party advertisers to approximately 8,600 in total.
Ana Stewart, CEO of i-design, commented:
"This is a significant new contract win for i-design; it both establishes our presence in the US marketplace, the world's largest, and validates the flexibility and scope of our platform independent solution atmAd. We are delighted that Cardtronics has selected atmAd as its third party advertising solution, launching on approximately 3,000 ATMs, and we are very excited to be working with such a prominent global network owner.
The atmAd solution is a powerful proposition, combining unsurpassed technology with an end-to-end offering that includes a full-service media sales operation delivering significant revenues for network owners. We remain confident that there continue to be substantial opportunities to expand our ATM networks further both in the UK and internationally."
