The report was Gartner’s first business continuity management planning MarketScope and its focus was on enterprise level BCM offerings.

Written by Roberta J. Witty and Tom Scholtz, the report revealed that the business continuity management planning market had an average revenue growth rate for 2007 and 2008 of 10% in 2007/2008 and 13% in 2008/2009.  The Gartner MarketScope anticipates BCM “adoption to grow in the next five years, given the increased focus from government agencies — federal, state and local — as well as private-sector preparedness initiatives.”

“We believe our success signals a change in the BCM tool market away from restrictive off-the-shelf solutions towards flexible, integrated solutions which give Enterprise BCM managers total control over their own processes,” said Magnus Bray, Sales Executive at Factonomy. “As one of the newest entrants to the market, we are delighted to be included in the BCM MarketScope by such an influential research firm.”

Speaking about Factonomy’s specific BCM offering, Magnus Bray said Factonomy 4BCM was an easy to use, flexible and integrated Business Continuity Management suite which reduces the effort required to manage and maintain the business continuity process from start to finish.

“Factonomy 4BCM has flexible modules so that you can choose whether to support the entire BCM lifecycle or to target weak points in your current system,” Bray said. “It can be integrated with your corporate systems, presenting the latest data from source, ensuring data integrity and reducing both auditing and administrative overheads.”
