Onzo Ltd, the UK-based customer engagement specialist, has entered into a partnership with one of New Zealand’s largest energy companies, Mighty River Power.
Onzo will supply Mighty River Power’s retail arm, Mercury Energy, with the Onzo smart energy kit, the company’s award-winning energy display, sensor and integrated web portal. Mercury Energy will initially run a trial with the smart energy kit to determine the impact of providing customers with information about how much energy they are using, how much it’s costing them and how to reduce or change their consumption.
Onzo’s professional services team will also be involved in the project, providing a range of consulting help.

The contract is Onzo’s second in the region. Last year, the company worked with ActewAGL in Australia to modify the smart energy kit so that it could be used to measure water consumption.
