Shetland Wave Farm Website Launched - 25 Oct 2010
Aegir Wave Power has launched a website to inform and update all interested parties on the progress of their wave farm development off the coast of Shetland. Aegir is a joint venture between Swedish utility Vattenfall and Pelamis Wave Power. The project off Shetland’s southwest coast will consist of between 14 and 26 Pelamis machines with a combined rated power of 10-20MW.
The website contains information on key aspects of the project such as its planned location, size, appearance, the Pelamis technology and work relating to the environmental impact assessment. The site will be updated regularly with news and events.
