Management Changes at Pelamis Wave Power - 05 Oct 2010

Pelamis Wave Power today announced the departure of their CEO Neels Kriek and CFO Diana Dyer Bartlett. Both Neels and Diana have moved on after successfully delivering a series of financial and commercial objectives for the Company. Both had been commuting to Edinburgh from London on a weekly basis and had indicated to the company that they now wished to pursue interests closer to their respective homes.

Richard Yemm, Chief Technical Officer said:

“We continue to move forward strongly in a tough economic climate, during the last twelve months both Neels and Diana have helped secure additional funding as well as assisting with the delivery of key commercial and technical milestones for the wave energy machines under construction, whilst also contributing to the successful running of the Company.

The first P2 machine is now at Orkney and ready for initial operations and we are well placed over the winter months to further prove the technology. We anticipate we will be commencing generation this month. The PWP Board is pleased with progress and confident that the state-of-the-art technology we are developing will make a major contribution to renewable energy markets around the world.”
