E.ON P2 Pelamis Test Update - 14 May 2011

Intitial results from the test programme of the first P2 machine, owned by E.ON, have been encouraging.  Tests to date have recorded conversion efficiency of around 70% and a measured 30 minute average capture width approaching 20m in small seas – all inline with expectations for these initial trials.  The early measured capture width is around double the theoretical ultimate maximum of a heaving buoy device in the same seas.
