Sigma Technology Venture Fund (“STVF”), a fund managed by Sigma Technology Management Limited (“Sigma”), is pleased to announce that it has led a total investment round in SFX Technologies Limited (“SFX”) of £710,000. STVF invested £500,000 as lead investor alongside the Scottish Co-investment Fund, which invested £150,000 and the management who invested £60,000.
SFX designs, develops and markets flat panel speaker technology for use in applications ranging from consumer electronics, laptops and mobile phones to hi-fi and home cinema. The technology is also suitable for architectural applications.
This investment in SFX follows two previous investments led by Sigma and takes the total funding arranged by Sigma to £1.7m. Graham Barnet, Managing Director of Sigma, joined the Board as a non-executive director at the time of Sigma’s first investment in 2003 and will continue in this role.
