The team were delighted to walk away with yet another award at the NW Insider Residential Property Awards this month which recognised the My Simple Life mobile app as the tech of the year!
The judges chose the My Simple Life app as their winner for ‘showing exemplary customer service and going above and beyond what an automated service could deliver, the app was praised by the judges for having depth, functionality and the customer at its heart.’
After spending time assessing various off-the-shelf applications, Sigma came to the decision that a mobile app (as opposed to a web-based app), which could be entirely developed to suit the Simple Life Homes single family BTR model, would be much better suited for our residents needs. Additionally, with the scale of the Simple Life portfolio, there were many longer term commercial and financial benefits to developing a bespoke app from scratch. Built by development agency partners Think EQ, the app was created and launched within 12 months and has proven very popular amongst residents.
The app included a forum for each development to support community building, important documents so everything is accessible in one place, information about the user’s home including user guides and how to videos, maintenance reporting (integrated with FixFlo), exclusive affiliate offers both nationally and local to each development, and the ability to view statements and to pay any overdue balances.
Built by Countryside Properties on behalf of Sigma and The PRS REIT plc, new apartment scheme, Empyrean based in Broughton, Salford and comprising of 298 apartments, was also shortlisted for apartment scheme of the year (under 300 units).
The wins continued, with Sigma’s partners, Ascend Properties scooping up the award for the Sales and Lettings Agency of the Year and Gatehouse Bank and CBRE collecting the PRS Deal of the Year Award for the sale of the Thistle portfolio – the first portfolio sourced, built and managed by Sigma. We’re delighted to see the portfolio create such a benchmark within the SFH BTR industry!
