Sigma, the private rented sector, residential development and urban regeneration specialist, is pleased to announce that its letting brand Simple Life won the ‘Build-to-Rent Company of the Year’ award at the Property Management Awards 2019. Simple Life is also the consumer facing brand for all of The PRS REIT plc activity.
The award judges companies in the Build-to-Rent (“BTR”) market against a number of criteria, including strategic vision, customer satisfaction, social impact, and contribution to the PRS and BTR as a whole. Simple Life was named the winner of the prestigious award by a panel of industry experts at the Property Management Awards ceremony, beating multiple other major BTR players.
This award is the latest example of the recognition Sigma and The PRS REIT plc has received over the past year. Earlier this year, Simple Life was highly commended in the ‘Landlord of the Year’ category of the Property Week RESI Awards and shortlisted for the ‘Property and Construction Campaign of the Year’ at the Northern Marketing Awards, while Baytree Lane development won the NW Insider Residential Property Awards’ ‘Large Development of the Year’. Sigma was also shortlisted for ‘Best Partnership’ at the Inside Housing Awards for its developments in Sheffield with Sheffield Housing Company and Engie.
Graham Barnet, CEO of Sigma, commented:
“I am delighted that ‘Simple Life’ has won this prestigious award. The Sigma team has worked exceptionally hard since the launch of ‘Simple Life’ in December 2016 to create a brand that sets a new standard for the private renting experience, and this award demonstrates the success of this endeavour.”
