The Merriest of Days

That’s a wrap on another year of our fantastic festive parades, for three weekends in December, Santa and the gang visited Simple Life regional neighbourhoods to spread some cheer.

In Simple Life tradition, we had Santa and his friends pay visits to Simple Life developments to bring a magical experience straight to our residents’ doors. Once again he was joined by his brass band of elves and some stilt walking pals to help him bring joy to families in the run up to Christmas.

We were pleased to see so many join the parade as Santa walked the developments, waving, chuckling and leading his band of elves. As with every year however, it was the younger members of our community who were the most delighted!

It’s such a pleasure to be able to help residents get in the Christmas spirit with an opportunity to tell the man himself what you’re hoping to find under the tree on the big day.

In London, the Christmas events continued, where Simple Life London teamed up with L&Q to deliver a Christmas event for all residents at Beam Park, which included a light switch on and visits from Santa and his brass band. Over at Fresh Wharf and with the help from our friends at Countryside and Folio, Simple Life London organised a steel band, Christmas carol choir, wood fired pizza from Food Disco, drinks from LDN Mini Bar and a Christmas tree light switch on.

For those making the most of the quiet nights in, in the lead up to Christmas, we had our live bedtime storytelling over four nights, streamed to our Facebook page – bringing some of the classics, like The Gruffalo and The Secret Garden to life for the little ones, whilst giving the parents a well deserved break!

And lastly, to round up our Christmas activity, we held our ever-popular Christmas tree competition with over 130 entries! Our three winners received up to £500 worth of shopping vouchers to help with the Christmas shopping!
