In its annual review, published last week, Property Week selected The PRS REIT as its IPO of the Year 2017.
To quote the article: “The PRS REIT stands out from the crowd in a bumper year for initial public offerings (IPOs). As well as being one of the biggest floats of 2017 with £250m raised, it was also a ground-breaking deal, being by far the largest REIT focused on the private rented sector to launch. It was also the first to secure the government’s Homes and Communities Agency as a major shareholder.”
Sigma Capital launched the IPO of The PRS REIT plc in May 2017. Since then, significant progress has been made in deploying the raised capital, with over 900 homes either already completed or underway, and a further 2,000+ in the pipeline.
Graham Barnet, CEO, Sigma Capital Group plc commented:
“We are delighted to have received this recognition for the IPO of The PRS REIT, which garnered enormous interest and support from a wide range of investors. The Homes & Communities Agency came on board as a cornerstone investor at IPO and we appreciate its continuing support.
“We are pleased to have been able to bring an innovative, long-term investment vehicle to the LSE. It is positioned to deliver attractive returns to investors as well as providing high quality private rented accommodation to families across the UK.”
