Leading homebuilder Kellen Homes this week marked the completion of 211, new homes in Bury by handing over the keys to Sigma, one of the leading providers in the build-to-rent market.
The final phase of the two, three and four-bedroomed homes at York Street in Bury were officially signed over to Sigma Capital Group allowing the remaining residents to move in to this already thriving community neighbourhood.
The teams from Kellen Homes and Sigma visited the site to see the keys to the final properties being presented in advance of the new residents moving in. The council supported Kellen Homes with its application for Brownfield Housing Funding from the GMCA which provided a £1.95 million grant to remediate the land at York Street to allow the building work to take place.

“Today marks the completion of the development of these homes in Bury but it is very much the beginning of the story of this new neighbourhood we have created with our trusted partners Kellen Homes. Sigma offers local renters a high-quality, brand-new home, teamed with a professional management approach to renting and this development has already proved to be incredibly popular and we are looking forward to seeing it go from strength to strength.”
And Joanne Robertson, Head of Customer Services at Kellen Homes, said of the completion of the project:

The scheme includes around 12 acres of public open space for use by residents.
