Continued support at Norris Green

As part of our multiple phase development of PRS housing at Norris Green, Sigma have been continually supporting the local community and surrounding areas with various activities and fundraising activities.

To date £1,600 has been used for 128 hampers across the community for families and older people, £300 has been donated to pensioners Christmas meals, £300 donated to an Elf Dash, £700 will be used for an Easter Fund day and £2100 will be allocated towards a community bonfire and firework display in 2017.

Sigma sponsored the Norris Green Park Junior Elf Run, the healthy festive event which was attended by more than 40 families and blessed by a sport Father Christmas!

After he and his Elf family started the fun run, a ‘Santa Shortcut’ was made to the half way mark for a tangerine stop, then another to the finish line to hand out bottles of water.

The aim of the event was to promote Norris Green Park, get kids active and highlight services that are available in Norris Green.

Councillor Sharon Ross, who helped organise the event, said: “The day was a huge success – more I’d hoped for! It was an event that had a real ‘feel good factor’, and was a great example of the community spirit in Norris Green.

“The feedback we’ve had from the families was brilliant – its put everyone in the Christmas mood and we’re already looking at more events for the park and showcase what a fabulous asset it is.”
