Sigma Supports Park Palace Ponies for a Third Year

Sigma has recently supported equestrian enterprise Park Palace Ponies for a third year.

The equestrian centre which is based in Liverpool, aims to inspire a new generation of young riders. Sigma’s first year of supporting the centre, saw the first school partnership through Sigma’s donation with Monksdown Primary School in Norris Green. Each year, Sigma’s donation sponsor’s pony Moses and also covers the cost the riding lessons for one full school year for Monksdown school children. This has made riding lessons more affordable and accessible for children living in urban areas. Present day the centre has partnered with six schools.

Benefits of having outside of the classroom activities such as riding and creating relationships with animals is proven to help children to have more focus in the classroom, and can help children to learn key life skills such as responsibility, leadership, patience, empathy, compassion and self-control, as well as helping children to develop self-esteem and can help with anxiety.

Keith Hackett from Park Palace Ponies said: “Once again Park Palace Ponies is hugely grateful for the pony sponsorship that Sigma has provided. The company’s generosity has continued to helped us make learning to ride affordable for children from across Liverpool and we cannot thank Sigma enough.”

Park Palace Ponies and Monksdown Primary School are based in Merseyside, where Sigma’s Simple Life brand has a total of 561 properties for rent. The school is also situated in the area of Norris Green which previously underwent huge regeneration by Liverpool InPartnership, formed by Sigma and Liverpool City Council. The school sits amongst 221 private rental homes under the DifRent brand, also managed by Sigma Capital Group plc, on behalf of Gatehouse Bank.
